Performs scan procedures like CT Head Neck Paranasl sinuses Chest Abdomen Pelvis Bones and Joints Also performs Angiography of Head Neck Body Pulmonary Upper and Lower limbs MRI Uses strong magnetic field and with use of coils gradients and powerful computers it produces high resolution clear images of human body.It is safe and involves no radiation.Rarely minimal warmth at site of scan may be be felt by the patient.Patients with pacemaker , metallic valves , infusion pumps cochlear implants should NOT undergo MRI .Few pacemakers are MRI compatible for 1.5 T. Preparation For Contrast body scans n MRCPs 4 hr fasting is needed. Sr creatinine is needed for contrast studies Please inform technical staff if any surgical implants are placed in your body like pacemaker cochlear implant cardiac valves Patients may continue to take their routine medications Please inform if you have any drug allergy Please come with all relevant old reports MRI Detailed history will be taken All metallic objects Creditcard cell phone must be removed Metallic objects will get pulled by strong magnetic force as a projectile and may cause serious injuries Once you are positioned in MRI scan You will be given emergency bell if you feel discomfort In case iv contrast needed you will be informed n consent taken
